like dreams
10-15There is an immense difference between seeing a topic in middle school and revisiting it in college versus seeing it for the first time in college. Familiarity compounds. This can be generalized: see as much as possible, as early as you can.
See as much of the world as you possibly can. I would say this to myself four years ago; I say this to myself now. Stick up your head and look around. There are interesting things to do, great places to go. School is not the limit (true for high school, true for college). Go beyond school, go beyond the district, go beyond the city. Let your interests be unrestrained by physical circumstance. You can contact people anywhere. There have never been less barriers to entry.
You can't hear much. The future's a blur, but what you do hear is something like this:
– something bigger, don't you think? After this, something bigger.
Like dreams.
A giggle, slow, and then, a sigh.
Yes. Like dreams.
